Harding St.

Harding St.
Harding St. Deidra Michele
21yrs ago, I moved to Los Angeles! How time flies!! Remember the street you grew up on? The memories? I lived on Harding St between Charlevoix and Goethe on the east side of Detroit until the age of 14; so many great memories living in this house I didn’t recognize. During snowstorms, I’d sit on the radiator (metal standing heater) looking through the middle window watching the snow fall; wondering how it would be to live in California and now I know. I’m here for many reasons but my stay will come to an end soon but for now, I’ll enjoy Detroit’s summer days and nights; especially the thunderstorms. Returning to Detroit is bittersweet since my parents are no longer living but I have plenty of family and friends. My parents are now a part of my Angel crew in Heaven. In Detroit, there is a unique bond amongst family and friends. This closeness comes with massive festive activities in the summer; too many to attend all. Whether it’s a party, picnic, outdoor event (Slow Roll); the unique close group will be present, enjoying themselves. The city has changed tremendously and like a tourist, I will have to return to see what I missed. So, for now, I will continue sorting out family business, attend events I can, and see as many friends and family as possible. To my California family and friends; I’ll be back soon!!!
